Develop and maintain a productive and innovative line of research with strong potential for or demonstration of extramural funding in health psychology (broadly defined). Specific area of research is open. For example, applicants with a program of research focusing on biobehavioral health, psychoneuroendocrinology/immunology, interpersonal processes and health, emotions and health, maternal-child health, aging, Darwinian medicine, eating behaviors, behavioral interventions, health disparities, or other related areas are encouraged to apply.
The applicant is expected to join the newly established Center for Excellence in Biopsychosocial Approaches to Health (CEBAH) within the Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences at Chapman University https://www.chapman.edu/crean/research-centers/index.aspx).
The teaching load for this position is 2-2 and includes teaching undergraduate courses in areas of expertise using innovative and effective methods of teaching. Candidates will also advise undergraduate students and supervise student research projects. Chapman currently has a system through which mentoring individual student research projects can be applied towards teaching load.
Tenure track faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active research agenda for future tenure consideration and are evaluated on their research/scholarly activity, teaching and service.
