Schmid College of Science and Technology at Chapman University seeks applicants for a tenure track, full-time position of Assistant Professor of Mathematics, effective August 2020.

Mathematics offers a B.S. degree in Mathematics as well as a joint B.S. degree in Mathematics (from Chapman University) and Civil Engineering (from the University of California, Irvine). The Mathematics faculty also provides instruction for the Chapman University General Education program and for other degree programs at the University. The Mathematics Faculty has an extremely active and successful research agenda and shows its commitment to research through its two Research Centers of Excellence (https://www.chapman.edu/scst/research/centers-of-excellence/index.aspx) and the McGaw Professorship in Mathematics.

Qualifications
Requirements include a Ph.D. in Mathematics and evidence of strong commitment and demonstrated record of excellence in both research and teaching. We will consider all areas of Mathematics that complement our existing research areas.
Responsibilities
Duties include research, teaching in the Mathematics curriculum, and providing service to the College and to the University.

Tenure track faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active research agenda for future tenure consideration and are evaluated on their research/scholarly activity, teaching and service.
