The George L. Argyros School of Business and Economics at Chapman University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Management beginning August 2020.
The successful candidate may also be appointed to Chapman University's Economic Science Institute as a Research Associate. Led by Nobel Laureate Vernon Smith, the Economic Science Institute (ESI) is a prominent part of the Argyros School of Business and Economics and houses nationally recognized scholars providing collaborative research opportunities across a wide range of research areas in economics and other fields. The Argyros School is fully accredited by AACSB and offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, business, and economics as well as a traditional MBA. Chapman’s full time MBA program is ranked #85th nationally by US News and World Report. The School currently has nearly 1,700 + undergraduates and 248 graduate students who attend classes in a modern 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility. Duties include establishing or continuing a research program in the candidate’s field, teaching, and mentoring students. Tenure track faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active research agenda for future tenure consideration and are evaluated on their research/scholarly activity, teaching and service.
The position offers a competitive salary and teaching load for Assistant Professors on tenure track, a summer research stipend, and a discretionary research budget.
