There are three Events Coordinator positions available.
Plan complex event logistics including but not limited to scheduling event locations; coordinate catering; determine set-up; maintain event calendar. Prepare registration materials, nametags, signage, rsvp lists and other meeting materials /items. Assist with vendor negotiations and suppliers, request media equipment, and all other event logistics. Oversee set-up and cleanup of assigned events. Supervise and direct student workers or temporary employees. Recruit, hire and train workers for temporary assignments. Identify event-related problems and work with service or materials providers to create and implement effective solutions. Make travel and lodging arrangements for university guests. Prepare event evaluations. Contact participants and track attendance. Design/create appropriate promotional materials. Act both independently and as part of a team, taking a lead role when assigned. Act as a personal point-of-contact to address guests concerns about event arrangements and seek appropriate solutions to guests needs. Maintain client contact and communication throughout the event process. Ensure that on-campus room allocation and scheduling is handled expeditiously, with an emphasis on customer service and follow-through. Perform other duties as assigned.
